Learning the past and present of Takanawa areaDIGITAL HISTORY of TAKANAWA
The stone is said to have been stained by the blood produced when Naganori Asano committed ‘seppuku’ (ritual suicide). It was moved here from Tamura Ukyo Dayu’s main Edo residence. There is a bloodstained plum tree beside it also.
