No.370 Harvesting in wartime

The location is in front of where Takanawa Park is now, where Takanawa Daiichi Mansions stands. At this time it was an empty plot of land, and so a field was created here for growing sweet potatoes in order to offset the wartime food shortages. The photo shows me, my mother, my older sister and a maid happily harvesting the crop.
