I admire the massive roots that support the beech tree at the former Hosokawa residence! Today, in order to preserve the tree, it is trimmed at a trunk height of 10 meters. The city center cannot be described as a blessed environment, but with a trunk circumference of 8.1 meters it is one of the foremost Castanopsis sieboldii in the city.
